Supporting the Lighthouse Baby Shelter by donating baby formula, nappies and other necessities
The Lighthouse Baby Shelter provides a safe haven for babies and children who have been abandoned. The shelter provides these babies with a home environment filled with love, care and attention until they are fostered or adopted. The shelter also has a door in the garden wall, called the “Moses Basket” where unwanted babies can be placed anonymously, which has saved many lives.

Setting up a mobile vegetable garden for the Stellenbosch Night Shelter
Since 17 October 1991, the Stellenbosch Night Shelter (SNS) has provided overnight accommodation, meals, and essential services to those in need. For a small fee, residents receive two daily meals, access to ablution facilities, and social work support. This fee encourages responsibility as part of the rehabilitation process. Admission requires sobriety, an ID document, and adherence to SNS rules. Recognising SNS’s impact, the Stellenbosch Municipality entrusted them with managing a second shelter.
A registered NPO, SNS currently accommodates 30 men and 12 women, continuing its mission of support and empowerment.
